So the other day I was looking all over the place for media that could be applied to this assignment. I gave up after awhile and decided to kick back and jam to some Guitar Hero 3. So I start scrolling down the song list, and I catch something I had not noticed before. Off to the left edge of the screen is an ad for 5 Gum. I never noticed this before because my attention is always focused on which song to play next. It seems, even in video games, that one can’t escape being bombarded by advertising. After noticing this example, I learned that I needed to stop looking so hard and to start to just take in how the media tries to reach me daily.
